Laura Moore, M.Ed.
Professional Organizer and Coach
For Homes, Calendars and Life
I've taken a non-traditional path through life, which made it possible for me to see things in a different light. Through all my adventures, though, I've always been interested in how to make ordinary, every day activity a means to living a fulfilling life.
I've helped people declutter, organize, and bring more beauty and flow to their homes since I was young, long before organizing became a profession in the mid-1980s. It just came naturally to me, and what I know, others can learn.
In 2003, I launched ClutterClarity, fine-tuning my teaching and organizing skills to create a unique approach to help people enjoy unraveling the mess in their homes, calendars, and lives. Sometimes I'm called a clutter therapist because my clients feel better soon, even with a lot of work ahead of them.
Always curious about what makes people tick, I've studied numerous therapies and lifestyles, including Neuro-linguistic programming, conflict resolution and negotiation, and living at the Findhorn Community in northern Scotland. On a personal note, I grew up in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Mass., lived in six different states, and love great conversation, cooking, learning, beauty, art, collaging, lounging, and being outdoors.
Prior to this career, I ran my own marketing company to benefit health and financial services; invested in residential real estate, renovating and renting homes; and traveled extensively here and abroad.
I am currently writing It's Your Mess, But Not All Your Fault, a new paradigm to understand the complexity of clutter, clutter-clearing, and the often misunderstood and overated quest to get organized.
